• Born 7/9/1961 in Ashland, KY.
• I'm number 6 of 7 children, with 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
• Danleyton Elementary School grades 1-8.
• Greenup County High School grades 9-12.
• AS/AA Ashland Community College.  Majoring in Telecommunications, one day I may finish the remaining 2 years.
• 12/26/87 hired at Dimension Media Services as a Video Equipment Operator.
• July 1993 started doing two consecutive shows, then Judy Masters would do one show.
• October 1993 "Exployer's Award" for Times Mirror Cable Television/Dimension Media Services, Regional Office.
• June 1994 named "Video Equipment Operator Of The Year" for Times Mirror Cable Television/Dimension Media Services. A national award voted on by TMCT/DMS employees. A black tie affair in Irvine, California. All expenses paid. I did not attend....I was at The Festival Of The Bluegrass in Lexington, Kentucky. The Lonesome River Band said it best, "you gotta do what you gotta do."
• Now the company has been thru a several sales and employed at the same location by Adelphia Media Services.
• Good things I do: May 1996 jumped into a mud hole to raise over $240 for the American Cancer Society.  May 1997 shaved my head to raise over $1,000 for the American Cancer Society.
• After high school I coached grade school and JR. High basketball for five years at Danleyton Elementary School.
• 1997 Nominated for the DJ Of The Year in the Bluegrass Now Survey.
• April 3, 1998, Nashville, TN at the Ryman Auditorium I was awarded the Bluegrass Now Fans' Choice Award for DJ Of The Year in Region 5 (Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, Michigan and Wisconsin).
• 1998 A Top 5 finalist in the Bluegrass  Now Survey.
• September 1999 started The Cecilian Bank Bluegrass Hour on WULF in Elizabethtown, KY.
• February 2000 recorded "Cowboy Boot Heel" with Rob McNurlin. I am very proud of this! Thanks John Carter Cash.
• September 2000 the Cecilian Bank Bluegrass Hour moves to WLVK in Radcliff, KY.
• November 2001 America's Bluegrass, a two hour syndicated radio show begins on WLGC in Greenup, KY.
• March 2002 America's Bluegrass moves to WTCR in Catlettsburg, KY.
• January 2003 Rob McNurlin releases Lonesome Valley Again, I play bass on many of the songs.
• February  2003 America's Bluegrass has a 18.9 share, the highs share in the Huntington/Ashland market.
• March 2005 announcer for the America's Bluegrass Gospel Show on WSAZ-TV 3, and added to KET-2 in September 2005.
• July 06, 2005 I'm a new daddy! Welcome MaKaleigh Rose McCarty. Thank you Lucinda, I love you!
• December 2005 production starts on The Chop And Bo Bluegrass Show.
